General Information:
The Library was established at beginning of this college in 1963. The Library is situated at ground floor in the middle of the college building. The Library is enriched with more than 6000 books from eminent authors along with national, international journals and magazines. Brief information about the Library is as follows:-

- Reprographic Service : Library has 1 photo-stat machine

Important Section
A. Book Section: This section contains about 6000 books on various nursing disciplines. The books are classified subject wise. Every book is cataloged according to the surname of its author, and also the Title.

B. Journal Section:
Monthly, quarterly and annually subscribed.

C. Circulation Section:
Regular Books Issued per Day average 20-25
D. News Papers & Magazine Section:
7 Newspapers are regularly subscribed-
- English : 2
- Hindi : 5
- 2 Magazines: Weekly and fortnight subscribed.

Library Membership:
One can take the library membership free of cost by submitting an application form along with required information. A Library card will be issued to a member for further library transactions like Book issue and return service.

IT Resources:
- Internet: Facility along with downloading of Nursing Literature, Scanning etc. There are two terminals for the smooth running of Internet Services for the students.
- Computer with Wi-Fi and Ethernet facility along with printer, scanner & photocopier.
- The work of digitization has been started since 1 April 2018 with librarykoha software to enable better opportunities to readers in the changing scenario of the digital Library system.
- Faculty Members & Students may avail full text of nursing books, Journals & other online facilities.
LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. DISCIPLINE
- All users must observe total silence in the library and its environs at all times.
- All users have to keep their personal beg/books outside the library.
- Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library.
- No library equipment may be moved, modified or tampered with without permission from the librarian.
2. BORROWING PROCEDURE
- Duration for a book issuing time - 9:00 am – 11 am and 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
- Duration for a book returning time 11:00am – 1:00pm.
- A user must be a registered student or faculty in the current term to be able to use the library services.
- All borrowed materials must be returned in 7 days.
- All reserve materials must be returned at the specified time.
3. THE FOLLOWING MATERIALS CAN ONLY BE USED WITHIN THE LIBRARY
- Reference books
- Newspapers
- Journals and magazines
- Old question papers
- Notes
4. DAMAGE/LOSS OF LIBRARY MATERIALS
- All users will be held responsible for any damages or loss of library materials in their possession and will be required to meet the cost of replacement and processing.
- Users must ensure that the books they borrow are in good condition to avoid being held responsible for any damages noted while returning the books.
- Lost books must be reported to the librarian immediately and replaced or paid for within 10 days.
- Lost library books that are recovered, must be handed to the librarian as they remain the property of the college library.
5. EXCLUSION FROM THE USE OF THE LIBRARY
- The library staff has the right to ask students to leave the library if they are behaving inappropriately or causing disturbance to other users.
- No student is allowed to enter the circulation area without the consent of the library staff.
- Anyone caught marking, defacing or mutilating books or any other library material will be expected to pay for the material with the most current edition of the same.
- Use of sound equipment like radios, walk-mans, cell phones, etc., is strictly prohibited in the library and its environs.
- Seats in the library may not be reserved or disturbed.
- Users are not allowed to reshelve books after removing them from the shelf. Leave the books on the table or on the trolley near the door.
- Inventory of books should be done according to schedule with principles.
