National Level Awards-Dr. B. C. Roy Award

 

  • Dr. Narpat Singh Shekhawat was awarded Dr. B. C. Roy award by the President of India in 2006 for his contribution in the field of Socio-medical Science.

 

State Level Merit Awards-

 

1. Dr. K.C. Sogani was awarded the State Merit Award for the meritorious services by the Government of Rajasthan in 1984.

 

2. Dr. Narpat Singh Shekhawat was awarded the State Merit Award for the meritorious services by the Government of Rajasthan 2002.

 

District Level Merit Awards-

 

1. Dr. Ram Babu Goyal was awarded District level Merit Certificate by the Government of Rajasthan in 1996.

 

2. Dr. Praveen Mathur was awarded District level Merit Certificate by the Government of Rajasthan in 2000.

 

Awards by IAPS-

 

1. Dr. A. K. Sharma was awarded with Dr. Rohtaghi Oration Award by IAPS in 2006.

 

2. Dr. A. K. Sharma was awarded Durairajan IAPS Gold Medal in 2013.

 

3. Dr. A. K. Sharma has been nominated for Dr. R. K. Gandhi Gold Medal by IAPS for the year 2017.

 

Dr. Farooq Abdullah Best Research Paper Award-

 

1. Dr. Praveen Mathur was awarded Dr. Farooq Abdullah Best Research Paper Award for Senior Category 2008 – 09.

 

2. Dr. Rahul Gupta was awarded Dr. Farooq Abdullah Best Research Paper Award for Junior Category 2015– 16.

 

Other Awards-

 

1. Dr. A. K. Sharma was awarded with Col. Sangam Lal Oration Award by National Academy of Medical Sciences in 2008.

 

2. Dr. A. K. Sharma was awarded for community services and best achievements in pediatric surgery by Rajasthan Allumni Medical Association in USA.

 

3. Dr. Praveen Mathur has contributed a chapter on “Congenital Pouch Colon” in text book of Newborn Surgery 3rd Edition 2011. This book was awarded British Medical Association – Medical Book Award 2012.

 

Fellowships/Membership

 

1. Dr. V.N. Jhameria was awarded WHO Fellowship in Paediatric Urology at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA in 2000.

 

2. Dr. Praveen Mathur was awarded Commonwealth Fellowship in Paediatric Laparoscopy at Great Ormond Hospital, London, U.K. (1999-2000).

 

3. Dr. A. K. Sharma was awarded FAMS (Fellow Academy of Medical Sciences) in 1997.

 

4. Dr. A. K. Sharma is presently senior member of British Association of Pediatric Surgeons.

 

5. Dr. A. K. Sharma is visiting Professor in various Universities in U.S.A.

 

Research Project

 

  • Dr. Praveen Mathur is working on a research project entitled “Study of Pouch Colon affected probands in Rajasthan” which has been approved for research grant by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Rajasthan in 2009 and recently by the Director General ICMR.

 

Chapter in Book

 

  • Dr. Praveen Mathur has contributed a chapter on this anomaly in text book of Newborn Surgery 3rd Edition 2011.

 

Monograph

 

  • Dr Rahul Gupta and Professor Dr Shyam Bihari Sharma have written a book (monograph) on Choledochal cyst which has been published in February 2015.

 

CPC of the Department

 

  • CPC of the Department of Paediatric Surgery on the topic “Paediatric patient with WAGR syndrome”: was held on 10th February 2017.
