Coombs cross match - by gel technology now routinely done for all blood cross matches
IAT (Indirect Antiglobulin Testing) and DAT (Direct Antiglobulin Testing).
Antibody identification and titration.
*Extended Rh phenotypying.
*Weak Du typing.
Donor room:
Donor selection criteria:
Donor should be in good health.
Age -18 - 60 years
Haemoglobin - not less than 12.5 g/dL
Pulse - between 50 and 100/minute with no irregularities
Blood Pressure -Systolic 80-140 mm Hg and Diastolic 60 - 100 mm Hg
Temperature - Afebrile
Body weight - ≥ 45 kgs. ( for 350 ml.) , ≥ 50 kgs. ( for 450 ml. )
Both male and female can donate blood
Skin at the venepuncture site should be free from any lesion or scar of needle.

Apheresis facilities:
Donor Apheres is procedure for Platelet collection (SDP) , plasmapheresis and therapeutic plasma exchange.
In Year 2020, Department of IHTM has conducted indoor and outdoor 154 Voluntary Blood Donation Camps.
We have one Blood Mobile Van for conducting VDB Camps.
We have one Blood Transportation Van for transport of Blood units from camp site to Blood Bank.
