Urological problem is very common in young, aged males & females which required specialized service and management facilities. Urology unit of Dr. S. N. Renal transplant program
A kidney transplant is a surgical procedure to place a kidney from a live or deceased donor into a person whose kidneys no longer function properly.
Kidneys remove excess fluid and waste from blood. When kidneys lose their filtering ability, dangerous levels of fluid and waste accumulate in your body a condition known as kidney failure or end-stage kidney disease. A kidney transplant is often the best treatment for kidney failure.
Only one donated kidney is needed to replace two failed kidneys, making living-donor kidney transplantation an option. A compatible living donor should be available for a kidney transplant.
First live-donor related renal transplant in western Rajasthan performed in Department of Urology, Dr. S.N. Medical, Jodhpur on 6/12/2018 under guidance of S.M.S Medical college, Jaipur.
Our department provide comprehensive care in acute & chronic kidney disease with post-operative close follow-up in synchronicity with department of nephrology including renal replacement therapy counselling, renal laboratory test & biopsy, immunosuppression therapy.
Department of urology is providing vascular access ( A-V fistula) for hemodialysis including patients on maintenance hemodialysis & pre-transplant list.
With pioneering experience & successful renal replacement in harmony with related departments including nephrology & anesthesia, department of urology will continue the program for patient awaiting renal replacement in western Rajasthan
