DEPT DEVELOPMENT & UPGRADATION IN CANCER CARE FACILITIES BY STATE GOVT.
(UNDER PROCESS)
1. LINEAR ACCELRATOR INSTALLATION AS PER CM’s BUDGET DECLARATIONS 2019-20
2. REGIONAL CANCER CENTRE (RCC) UNDER CM’s BUDGET DECLARATIONS 2020-21which was later upgraded as Regional Cancer Institute. Land for the same has to be allotted at the nearby Ground water dept land. After land allotment the map making will finally be done and construction can be started.
3. PET-CT MACHINE INSTALLATION IN PPP MODE UNDER CM’s Budget Declarations 2020-21
4. INCREASE IN PG SEATS FROM 1 TO 5. NMC Inspection done on 26 March 2021. Disapproval for the same by NMC citing two deficiencies.
a. lack of a Professor
b. Lack of Publications
NMC was conveyed that instead of one there are two Professors and all the publications were attached and replied back to NMC with request for review of it’s decision, which is pending till date.

POST GRADUATE STUDENTS:-
· Available:- One PG seat per year in MD (RADIOTHERAPY) PG course at Dept. of Radiotherapy since 2010. PG has been recognized wide letter no MCI-88/2013-Med/103893/dated 21.09.2013 & MCI-34(1)/2013/UG-(website updation)/41824 dated 09.11.2013
· Recognition has been granted for a period of 5 years starting from ON or AFTER JUNE 2013 & then in 2018 upto 2023.
· MCI inspection for increase in PG seats from 1 to 5 conducted by MCI inspector on 31.8.2016. Disapproved and seats could not be increased.
Govt. approval for increase in PG seats from existing one seat to five seats for which the MCI inspection has been done on 25.03.2021. Final letter of NMC approval is still pending.
If approved then the PG intake will increase in our dept to about 5 PG’s per year.
RUHS inspection for the same was done on 23.06.2017.

· ICRO Fellowship awarded to Dr. Pradeep Gaur, Senior Prof. & Head By Indian College of Radiation Oncologists (ICRO) at the annual conference of Association of Radiation Oncologists of Indian 2015 (AROICON 2016) at Lucknow, UP.
· Dr. Prashanth Bhat Kainthaje III yr PG resident was awarded Neil Joseph Fellowship in the 38th Annual conference of The Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROICON 2016) at Bhubaneswar.

· FIRST EVER PG Examination was held in June 2013 in the Department
· One Candidate appeared and declared Passed on 4th July by RUMS, Jaipur.
· No exams were held in 2014 as the PG student left the dept for some other course.
· Second Candidate appeared and declared Passed in July 2015 by RUHS, Jaipur
· Third candidate appeared and declared passed in august 2016 by RUHS, Jaipur.
